Joy for Atlas: Brian Lozano’s goal nominated for the Puskas Award

FIFA has given the Atlas’ Los Rojinegros a very positive news, as their footballer Brian ‘Huevo’ Lozano has been included as one of the candidates for the Puskás Award, which is awarded by the highest governing body of football for the best goal of the year.

The player has been included in the select list of goals thanks to the goal he scored from three-quarters of the field at the Estadio Jalisco during the match against Club América in the past Clausura 2023 Tournament. This amazing goal allowed the team to finish with a 2-2 draw and earn a point that supported them in the standings.

FIFA announced this information through their social media, stating that the goal scored in the 67th minute of the mentioned match against América was considered one of the best of the year due to the power of the shot, the distance, and especially the movement of the ball to beat Óscar Jiménez’s goal.
